When not writing, I’m a full-time PhD student and part-time university tutor in Renaissance Drama. My PhD is on the intersection between religion and melancholy in the drama of 1580-1642, which is interesting to approximately five people, but which I think is amazing. I live in a small town called Stamford in Lincolnshire, England (which is in no way related to the small, sleepy English village in Viper…), and when I’m writing neither papers, nor novels, I prance around onstage pretending to be other people at the Stamford Shakespeare Company (yes, I write about Shakespeare for my PhD, teach Shakespeare for a living, and then do Shakespeare for fun. What can I say, I’m a nerd). I love travelling, and never get to do as much as I want to, but I’m currently hoping to visit Antarctica once I’ve finished my PhD.

Thoughts on Endever

For me, Endever is an incredible opportunity. It’s an incredible group of extraordinarily talented people from all over, which for me is very exciting. The fact I get to work and talk with other people who are passionate about writing great stories and getting them into the world, and not just writing what the ‘big’ publishing companies think are good, is incredible. I wake up every day feeling glad that I sent that little Tweet to Andrew and Lynn, because this is a genuinely exciting publishing venture, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us all!
