michelle-underwoodAbout

I live in Cypress, TX where I spend my days pretending to be a high school English teacher and my nights pretending to be a writer, but also procrastinating by binge-reading YA literature and watching as much Netflix as I’m able to with a busy, high-energy toddler and a sick husband (#cancersucks). I’m obsessed with Coca-Cola Classic and fangirl things. My favorite author is Sarah J. Maas, but also Meg Cabot, J.K. Rowling, and Jane Austen – so maybe I don’t have a favorite after all, just a slew of awesome lady writers I’d like to be.

I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in English and then an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, but if I could do it over, I would have stayed in school forever, racking up degrees like Taylor Swift racks up platinum albums (#swifty4lyfe).

Writing in progress

Currently, I’m working on an adult psychological thriller, which is weird because I usually only read YA lit.

Thoughts on Endever
I’m excited to be working with Endever for a few reasons. 1) This will be my first published novel, so this company is very special to me – they’re taking a chance on a nobody (man, that all sounds super cliche). and 2) I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the entire process from submission to writing – I’ve felt like part of a team, not just an author giving up her novel to a bunch of people she’ll never speak to or know.
