Abbie loves two things- books and coffee. What more do you really need to know?
The first thing that caught my eye on Abbie’s blog “Cafe Book Bean” was the purely genius coffee (or tea) suggestions she makes to accompany the reading of whatever book she happens to be recommending that day. I was instantly hooked. I agree with Abbie about reading and warm beverages- “They are the bread and butter to my soul.” Just check out this example-
On the topic of Shorts, here is a mini drink that really packs a punch:
Book Bean: Café Bombón
A Cuban drink with roots to Valencia, Spain.
Espresso served with sweetened condensed milk in a 1:1 ratio. Bombón means chocolate in Spanish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, or even cayenne for extra pop of flavor.
Even when Abbie’s blog is going through a slow season, (life just gets busy, we all know how that goes), she still takes the time to post a little something that catches my eye (which I highly respect), especially her “Sunday Funnies” posts-
While Abbie does offer her time to write reviews for “any products related to: Books, Poetry, Journaling, and/or Coffee!”, she is always lovingly paying homage to wildly nostalgic and classic writing artists, such as her recent tributes to Dr. Seuss, Henry Longfellow, and a collection of Evocative Literary Lines [by] Women. Her mature affection for the greats makes it all too easy to picture us being positively euphoric in a grand library together.
In conclusion, Abbie is awesome. (See Belle pic above.) Oh, and if our author Coral Rivera likes Disney, well, Abbie can give her a run for her money. (These two need to meet, if they haven’t already, though I suggest earplugs because the fan-girling is going to be intense.)
